The Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Online Course is designed for those who are new to the world of Six Sigma and who have an interest in learning the six sigma fundamentals and foundation of this process improvement methodology. This is the first step in your commitment to quality and becoming a change agent for your company. Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belts will have the tools necessary to interpret and implement basic lean and six sigma skills and help identify waste in many process situations. Becoming a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt will have an impact for your company and may very well help you become a core team member as a process improvement professional.
Participants in the Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt online Course learn the very basics of the Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control (DMAIC) methodology and tools for achieving better, faster, and lower-cost products and processes. We use a knowledge-based approach to“pull” the use of Lean and Six Sigma tools, not push them. Participants learn to select and apply the right tools for a particular problem or question. The intended audience is anyone who desires to become a practitioner of the Lean Six Sigma methodology and toolset and who would like to be part of the company’s process improvement culture. Participants who complete the Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt training and later wish to expand their knowledge of the DMAIC methodology and tools may continue by enrolling in a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Training course. This self-paced Lean Six Sigma online course consists of 8 recorded sessions found below. If desired, the student has the ability to add instructor lead sessions allowing for interactive discussions, review of tools and general questions and answers.

Lisa was really the best. Also, videos were really good – Thanks to Lisa and Mark! “
“The online courses can be taken within the time frame that suits for my daily work. Yet, there are scheduled virtual sessions setting the milestones.”
“I thought this would be training like all the rest, I was very wrong. I found the instructor to be very interesting and captive with what could be thought of as dry data. He did not read from a power point, did not teach strictly from a book, but provided information that got me excited about making a difference in our operation which ultimately improved the bottom line. I was not trained only, but was given the opportunity to certify, which verified I understood the training.”

Lean Six Sigma certifications are like many other professional certifications in a variety of industries. The student is required to understand and have competency in specific areas (tools and methodologies) and successfully apply them in a business situation. Once the competency is clear and the next guidelines and procedures for certification are met, individual may claim this as a designation in their profession. Much like many certification programs, there are levels within the Six Sigma methodology. From it’s earliest inception, Bill Smith (“Father of Six Sigma” and “Co-Founder” of Six Sigma along with Mikel Harry) coined the terms “Belts” in correlation with the martial arts progression to the highest ranking of “Black Belt”. Taking the Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt course is the first step to certification.
You will be awarded a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt course completion certificate once all sessions have been completed and all the associated quizzes are passed (with at least 4 of 5 questions correct).
