SYNCHRONIZING LEAN SIX SIGMA TO BUSINESS
Six Sigma originated in the mid-eighties to address key business problems using a disciplined approach to reducing defects and improving yields through variance reduction.  In the nineties,  Six Sigma evolved into an enterprise improvement strategy for reducing cost.  Lean and Six Sigma have since been combined to "simplify and perfect knowledge acquisition."  This workshop is for leaders seeking enterprise transformation strategies which maximize top and bottom-line growth and aid in achieving superior value delivery to their customers.  The session topics represent a compilation of Lean Six Sigma best practices from business, government, and academia.

For maximum effectiveness, the workshop is best held prior to  Champion Training.  Participants should include senior line and staff decision-makers in such areas as operations, manufacturing, IT, design and systems engineering, logistics, quality, finance, human resources, sales and marketing, communications, etc.  These participants will have access to one or more expert Air Academy coaches during and post-workshop.

Topics addressed will include the three key deployment phases of Initialization, Execution, and Assessment and the necessary activities within each phase.  These topics are supported by the inclusion of more than seventy lessons-learned and over twenty-five best practice documentation templates.

Upon workshop completion organizations will have a customized best practice template containing specific tasks to implement, by function, and a twelve to eighteen month, time-based and fully customized deployment plan containing a chronology of key tasks which indicates the functions having implementation accountability for those tasks.

To complement this workshop, Air Academy Associates has developed a web-based tool, the Competitive Excellence Handbook, which can be used in conjunction with or in lieu of the Synchronization Workshop.
